On Sunday the week before Christmas my family and I went on the boat. Some of us went fishing and diving and we played kubb on the beach as well. When we were on the dinghy we saw some little but fast sting rays in the shallow that's why I didn't go swimming at that beach. Here are some photos of us and our dog Meg.

ReplyDeleteRuby here, a volunteer from SLJ. Thank you so much for sharing this little snap shot of your summer. Gosh, it looks so warm and lovely, look at the colour of that crisp blue ocean! I can understand why you woouldn't want to go swimming with the sting ray in the waters. Once, when I was about your age, my foot got bitten by a crab when I was walking around in the shallows and I ran right on out of there! Sometimes I still worry that there are crabs scuttling around, all these years later. It's funny how these things can stick with you. But there's nothing like a good old salty water swim. I'm planning to go on one this Thursday morning down in Wellington. I'm jealous though that I don't have a dog to come with me on the adventure - Meg looks so cute! Does she like to go ocean swimming too?
