Noun, Adjective and Adverb Writing

We have been learning how to make our writing more exciting by adding verbs, adjectives and adverbs.  Here is an example of my work highlighting the different parts of a sentence.  I think that adjectives are the hardest words for me to remember to use.  I really like using nouns because they are easy to remember.  I hope you enjoy reading my work.

Part 2.

-----------------------------------------------------------

In your own words, write to tell what kind of words a noun, adjective, adverb

and verbs are. Then use each in a sentence.

A noun is a naming word.

Here is my own noun in a sentence. I will highlight the noun.

Maia is happily jumping around.

A verb is a doing word.

Here is my own verb in a sentence. I will highlight the verb.

I was jumping around.

An adjective is a word that describes things.

Here is my own adjective in a sentence. I will highlight the adjective.

I ran faster than a cheeky cheetah.

An adverb is a word that describes like an adjective but different.

Here is my own adverb in a sentence. I will highlight the adverb.
